Looking for advice from you guys. - John Jacobs - 01-09-2004 Do you all feel this forum will add value to your business? Or is it just a time consumer. I have noticed that it is not being used very much, and have tried for almost 3 months to keep it floating. I am seeing on increase in our calls, that I beleive is related to this forum. The calls are coming from local people that have found the site and need their equipment serviced, as well as national calls. I will try to keep up with the forum, however it would be helpful if some of you could lend your time to reply to posts also (even if I have replied already), just so folks have more than one opinion on a topic. Thanks and good business to ya. - Spectrum Svc - 01-10-2004 John - I think the forum will be useful once more independant providers get on it. Since our company does only commercial repairs, I ignore all those "weslo, viatmaster, DP" questions. Responding to them would be a waste of time. I'm hoping this forum evolves into more of a place for all of us independants to network and less of a place for owners of junk residential equipment to ask for free advice. LR - John Jacobs - 01-10-2004 I agree, and my intent was for it to be a place for us to communicate. But it appears that most ISP's either don't have the time or are not interested. Addtionally my hope was that the community centers, YMCA's and smaller clubs would come here looking for "FREE" advise and allow us show our stuff and make some quality connections. I believe as we help the people with the junk stuff the boards reputation will grow and the others will come (I hope). So for now I will continue to answer those questions. Independent Forum - SpeedInc - 03-07-2005 I am with you boys. We only service commercial Equipment and I agree that responding to those owners of $700 treadmills looking for free advice is not what I was hoping for on this forum. I will be glad to contribute , to answer any tech questions. I just dont know if enough ISP's know about this forum. Lets spead the word. Maybe a mass email to all comercial ISP's What do you guys think? John I did not see a list of ISPs by service area-it would be a great tool for your customers and iSPs would come here more often to respond to customers. This would be a great free tool for all of us like fitnessrepairparts features.
