As I was unable to find a set of original trolley wheels, I needed to improvise. I noticed that the wheels on the gravitron at the gym that I go to were very similar to rollerblade wheels. After some measuring I was able to ascertain that 70mm rollerblade wheels with 608 (5/16") bearings will fit the trolley perfectly. The wheels are almost exactly 1" in width, which is the amount of space you have on each axle. I ordered a set of four wheels and bearings and installed them in the unit the other day. The fit and function is perfect. With the bearings on the wheels the trolley glides up and down the trolley track without any binding whatsoever. The cost is small: $18 for four wheels and bearings as well as shipping through Amazon. The wheels are from TGM Skateboards and their representatives were most helpful in assisting me with the necessary measurements. |
